How does employee development proceed?

Employee development within the Orkla Group takes place both in the work environment in collaboration with the direct manager and colleagues, and with the involvement of external trainers. Orkla has established its own Orkla Academy in Norway, which provides courses ranging from specialized programs such as the Orkla Brand Academy to global leadership development programs. The company also organizes various types of internal training.

What kind of loads and contract terms does Orkla Latvija offer: full time / part time / temporary / permanent job?

Different types of employment models are available in the company. Mostly permanent full-time jobs are offered. During the production season we also offer temporary full-time jobs. Sometimes we can also offer part-time job.

Does Orkla Latvija have an induction program?

Each new employee is provided with training on both the job responsibilities and the company’s procedures and internal order. During the first months, the direct manager, mentor and Human Resources colleagues help new employee to learn everything new.

How does Orkla Latvija value employee performance?

We organize annual and semi-annual staff development discussions, and the direct manager gives regular feedback on performance.

Does Orkla Latvija offer health insurance policy?

Employees employed indefinitely by the company receive a health insurance policy after a probationary period.

Does Orkla Latvija offer summer work for students?

There are summers when we offer this opportunity. We invite to inquire about the summer job at the earliest in May by calling the Personnel Department.

Does Orkla Latvija offer internships?

Yes, throughout the year we offer internships in both manufacturing and administration. We are more happy about trainees who have an internship of at least two months.

What is the working time in Orkla Latvija?

Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.on weekdays. In production, work is usually organized in two shifts according to the schedule: first shift from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; second shift from 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.
