Personnel selection process

Our slogan for finding new colleagues is “The right person at the right place!”, so we take great care and diligence in the selection process. It is important for us not only to recruit the most suitable candidate for us, but also to be sure that this position is the most suitable for the candidate. We close the selection process to open and overt mutual acquaintance based on truth. It is important for us to get to know the candidate’s professional achievements, as well as the affiliation to the company culture and team, and expect us to share the same basic values: COURAGE, RELIABILITY, INSPIRATION!

The personnel selection process varies depending on the complexity of the position, such as finance, marketing or new product development, the selection process includes all of the steps below, but the manufacturing staff recruiting process can only consist of a few steps.

1. APPLICATION
We invite all interested people to apply for the job electronically by sending an application to the e-mail adress konkurss@orkla.lv

2. REPLY
We reply to the e-mails sent to konkurss@orkla.lv as we have received the application.

3. FIRST STAGE INTERVIEW
We meet face-to-face with candidates whose CVs have been sent to a specific competition and meet our criteria. The first round interview involves the HR project manager or the HR project manager together with the direct manager. The first round interview consists of a conversation – a set of two-way questions and answers.

4. HOME WORK
Candidates who have shown themselves best in the first round of interviews are given homework so that we can verify the candidate’s skills and knowledge.

5. SECOND STAGE INTERVIEW
Candidates who have completed their homework are invited to a second round interview. The second round of interviews involves the HR project manager, the direct manager and the department director. The interview includes a presentation of the homework and specific questions about the work to be done.

6. REFERENCES
We usually seek feedback from previous employers of the final candidates. Existing employers are only contacted if the candidate agrees.

7. JOB OFFER AND REFUSALS
We send a job offer to the most suitable candidate. And only after the candidate has accepted our offer, we contact all other candidates who have been to the face-to-face meeting.
